These delectable, tiny, green kale plants are very tough! They not only managed to stay green and tender through the ice and snow, but they started growing again as soon as they warmed up a little and now are beginning to put out flower buds. When the warm weather hit they started pushing all the energy they had stored into producing the next generation.
The crew is cutting them today before they go to seed. I enjoyed the first few of them for my lunch today!
