It’s that time of year again – the Guelph Organic Conference – and this year Pfenning’s is bringing a new look to its tradition of serving freshly pressed carrot juice with the launch of our new website.
We thought the conference was the perfect place to debut our new look since its Canada’s largest gathering of folks found all throughout the organic industry–from agricultural inputs all the way to the consumer.
It is this very fact that makes the conference so exciting, there is so much to see and do, with new friends to make and old ones to reconnect with.
The conference is in its 34th year and Pfenning’s has been participating as a conference exhibitor for nearly 20 of those years. It has become a cornerstone event for Pfenning’s to meet and interact with our customers and the consumers who love our produce. We really enjoy sharing our delicious carrots with the crowd and it’s become a staple offer at the exhibit.
However, the conference is more than the trade expo. There are four full days of seminars and industry meetings that the Pfenning’s staff participate in. The conference feels like a family reunion mixed with a religious revival tent meeting!
We spend time connecting and reconnecting with other farmers, activists, consumers, thinkers and scientists, and all the diversity of people engaged in imagining and working for a better food world. It brings us perspective and a renewed energy to face the challenges ahead. We meet new farmers who are looking for a network and talk with long-time farmers about how last season was and what may be coming with the new season. It is a wrap up of the year before and inspiration for the year ahead.
